Family Chiropractic Care at Inline Health Chiropractic
Chiropractic care focuses on the spine, spinal function and the nervous system. The nervous system is the master control system of your body, it is comprised of your brain, spinal cord and nerve branches that map your entire body. Chiropractors understand that tension, misalignments of the spine or poor physical function often lead to poor nerve conduction, poor regulation and poor health.
Our chiropractic care services are tailored to each person and may provide pain relief, progressive strengthening and can be used int the maintenance of your spine. We can improve mobility, function and prevent re occurrence through a combination of hands on care and home based exercise. In turn, the results allow your nervous system to function the way it’s supposed to.
Whatever our patient’s mission may be, we make it our goal to help them reach it.
Rest assured, our techniques are always gentle and very effective. There is no single treatment that fits everyone. Some people prefer low force methods while others enjoy manual manipulation. Each of our healthcare providers work with patients on an individual level to select the most appropriate method for their recovery.
Gentle Care for All Patients
The chiropractic techniques used in our practice have been selected for their quality and the results they give to our patients.
If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted a certain way, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you. We also work with other medical professionals to ensure you get all types of care necessary to speed your healing process.
Below are a list of the chiropractic techniques, services, and products you can find at our office.
- Diversified Manual Technique: After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up “stuck” spinal joints.
- Cox Flexion-Distraction: We use a special table so we can traction your spine, opening up the spacing between spinal vertebrae and relieving pressure.
- SOT Low force technique: One of the functions of the sacrum is to enable Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) to flow from the base of the spine back up the spinal canal to the brain and throughout the central nervous system. The occiput also helps to pump CSF. The minute rhythmical motion that circulates the CSF is essential to optimal health – CSF effectively acts as the circulatory system of the brain and spinal cord. The fluid is propelled up the spinal canal by thoracic pressure created during breathing. Manipulation of the occiput and the sacrum using simple stretching and gentle pressure may assist in facilitation of fluid flow through the spine, leading to a healthier central nervous system.
- Thompson drop technique: The Thompson Technique utilizes a specially-designed “segmental drop table” that augments the force being imparted to the joint or segment being adjusted. This special table takes advantage of the natural design of spinal joints to help move misaligned segments in a direction that will most improve the motion of that segment in relation to the segment above and below the one being adjusted. One unique feature of the Thompson Technique is the approach used to determine a disparity in the length of the legs when a patient is lying prone on the table. The patient’s feet (wearing shoes because they help to calibrate the measurements) are flexed to detect neurological imbalances that give the appearance that one leg is longer than the other. This helps the chiropractor to determine the exact nature of the adjustment that needs to be performed.
- Trigger Point therapy: By applying direct pressure or stretching of the affected muscle, we can reduce muscle spasms and flush out pooled blood and accumulated toxins.
- Low force impulse instrument adjusting: This handheld instrument delivers a carefully measured and directed thrust that is many times faster than is possible by hand, so less force needed.
- Toggle Recoil : Upper Cervical Chiropractic is a strict discipline within the chiropractic profession which focuses on the upper 2 bones in the spine. The Atlas C1 and Axis C2 vertebrae are considered to be the most important vertebral bones because of their location and anatomy. The upper cervical spine functions as the only 3-Dimensional moving joint complex in the spine, thereby making it the most complex to care for. These two bones are more importantly responsible for protecting the brainstem’s functionality and arterial blood supply. This is also the only area of the spine that can directly impact the central nervous system. Toggle recoil techniques a technique that is gentle, safe, and effective for improving nervous system functionality in the upper neck.
- Clinical Biomechanics of Posture® (CBP®): Clinical Biomechanics of Posture® is focused on producing improved posture, balance, spinal alignment and restoration of essential spinal curves.
- Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis: Mild scoliosis is the most responsive to exercise treatment. Moderate scoliosis may be treated with exercise too, but wearing a prescribed brace is sometimes recommended as well. We utilize the scientific exercise approach to scoliosis when creating a treatment plan to assist in management of minor and moderate scoliosis in adolescence and children. These exercises have been developed by various therapists across Europe to retrain the spine and strengthen weak sections of the spine. Our practitioners are highly efficient in teaching and applying these exercise protocols to patients suffering from scoliosis. These methods combined with orthotics and manual manipulation result in best outcomes for children diagnosis with minor scoliosis. Early intervention is paramount.
- Orthopedic Rehabilitation: Our rehabilitation programs can be used for pain management, trauma recovery, general health or to improve movement and strength which have usually decreased following injury. This therapy, combined with arranging any equipment or home modifications that are needed, is aimed at restoring independence. Unlike other providers of this service, we do not sign you up for a lengthy gym program or create a dependence on attending our practice. We teach you how to become self sufficient and independent in managing your condition at home.
